Harrison Ford cuelga el látigo y el sombrero despidiéndose de Indiana Jones

Era el año 1981 cuando llegaba a nuestros cines por primera vez el nombre de Indiana Jones con “Indiana Jones en busca del arca perdida”. Entonces no sabíamos el éxito que este aventurero iba a conseguir. 42 años después Harrison Ford se despide definitivamente del intrépido profesor y arqueólogo, que le ha acompañado a lo largo de su carrera como actor, con “Indiana Jones y el Dial del Destino”. 

Han sido numerosas películas de este valiente aventurero las que han acompañado y han visto crecer a toda una generación junto a ellas. Y, no solo a la generación que ha crecido con ellos, las películas de Indiana Jones han tenido gran éxito entre todos los públicos. Pequeños y mayores han acudido a los cines llenando sus salas para fascinarse con las nuevas aventuras y peligros que le surgían al insaciable profesor. 

Después del éxito de 1981, en 1984 llegó “Indiana Jones y el Templo Maldito”, y poco después, en 1989, “Indiana Jones y la Última Cruzada”. Parecía que las locuras de Jones iban a acabar ahí, pero el equipo de producción, guionista y director decidieron darle un respiro al formato para así regresar con mucha más fuerza y expectación en 2008 con “Indiana Jones y el Reino de la Calavera de Cristal”. Al haber pasado unos cuantos años desde la última película, el público había cambiado. Los jóvenes que acudieron a ver las primeras entregas, muchos de ellos estaban llevando a sus hijos para enseñarles el fenómeno Indiana Jones. Así, la pasión por estas películas y el cariño a nuestro querido profesor, se ha ido pasando de generación en generación. 

Pero, las locuras del intrépido aventurero no acabaron ahí. El pasado 28 de junio llegó a nuestros cines “Indiana Jones y el Dial del Destino”, ahora sí, película definitiva con la que Harrison Ford se despedirá de su personaje más conocido, dándole un final inmejorable con una nueva aventura, nuevos peligros y nuevos tesoros que descubrir. ¿Será el final definitivo de Indiana Jones?

De momento, no se rumorea nada sobre ninguna película nueva. Lo que sí ha empezado a correr por las redes es la creación de una serie sobre nuestro protagonista de la mano de Disney +. Por lo que sabemos hasta el momento, esta irá sobre la vida del pequeño Indiana Jones y las aventuras que tuvo cuando tan solo era un niño con ganas de comerse el mundo. Nosotros estamos deseando saber más sobre ella y sin duda la devoraremos en el menor tiempo posible.

Harrison Ford hangs up his whip and hat to say goodbye to Indiana Jones 

It was 1981 when the name Indiana Jones first came to our cinemas with "Raiders of the Lost Ark". At that time we did not know how successful this adventurer was going to be. 42 years later, Harrison Ford bids a final farewell to the intrepid professor and archaeologist, who has accompanied him throughout his career as an actor, with "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny". 

There have been numerous films of this brave adventurer that have accompanied and seen a whole generation grow up with them. And not only the generation that has grown up with them, the Indiana Jones movies have been a great success among all audiences. Young and old have flocked to the cinemas to be fascinated by the new adventures and dangers that arose for the insatiable professor.

For the moment, there are no rumors about any new movie. What has begun to run through the networks is the creation of a series about our protagonist by the hand of Disney +. As far as we know so far, this will be about the life of little Indiana Jones and the adventures he had when he was just a kid wanting to eat the world. We are eager to know more about it and we will certainly devour it in the shortest time possible.

Los estrenos más esperados del comienzo de verano

Con la llegada del verano, el calor y el final de las clases, ahora hay más tiempo libre para poder disfrutar con amigos y familia, los más grandes y los más pequeños, de una buena sesión de cine viendo las películas de estreno. Es por ello, que para ir calentando motores te contamos los estrenos más esperados de estos próximos meses. 

En primer lugar, este viernes 23 llega a nuestros cines “Sin malos rollos”, la nueva comedia de Jennifer Lawrence. Cuando está a punto de perder su hogar de toda la vida debido a sus acuciantes deudas, Maddie lee un llamativo anuncio de empleo: unos acaudalados padres controladores están buscando a alguien que salga con su asocial hijo de 19 años, Percy, antes de que empiece en la Universidad. Ante la posibilidad de conseguir dinero fácil, Maddie acepta la oferta sin pensarlo, pero para su sorpresa, descubre la torpeza y timidez de Percy no es lo que parece. 

No podíamos no hablar sobre el esperadísimo estreno de “Indiana Jones y el Día del Destino”, la última gran entrega de nuestro aventurero favorito interpretado por Harrison Ford que llega a los cines el 28 de junio. Esta quinta entrega de la saga se sitúa a finales de la década de 1960. Alejado de las aventuras de su juventud, Indy, que ha seguido impartiendo clases en la universidad, se jubila. Pero su tranquilidad se tambalea en el momento en el que aparece Helena, su ahijada. Según la explicación de la joven, Basil, su padre y antiguo camarada del arqueólogo, encontró algo en un tren durante la guerra. Aquello volvió loco a su padre y ahora ella quiere resolver el misterio. En seguida Indy y Helena se verán envueltos en una trama que involucra a un ex jefe nazi, Jürgen Voller, que acaba de fichar la NASA para el programa de alunizaje. Perseguidos, tendrán que huir y el veterano héroe deberá enfrentarse de nuevo a su destino. 

Para los más pequeños de la casa, el 30 de junio se estrena “Ruby: Aventuras de una kraken adolescente”. La tierna y algo torpe Ruby Gillman, de 16 años, solo quiere llevarse bien con el resto de alumnos del instituto Oceanside High, pero siente que le dan la espalda. Un día, desobedece a su madre y se mete en el mar. De esta forma, descubre que desciende de las grandes reinas guerreras de los Kraken y que está destinada a heredar el trono real.

Ya entrado el mes de julio, el 12 llega a nuestros cines “Misión Imposible - Sentencia Mortal (Parte Uno)”. En ella podremos volver a disfrutar de las locuras de Tom Cruise interpretando a Ethan Hunt. El agente de operaciones de campo para la agencia de élite IMF vuelve a la carga junto con la agente Ilsa Faust. ¿A qué sorprendentes riesgos se someterá en esta película? 

Si lo tuyo es más el cine en familia no te preocupes, que llega “Vacaciones de verano”, la nueva comedia de Santiago Segura con la colaboración de Leo Harlem. Oscar y Félix, dos amigos de toda la vida, acaban de divorciarse de sus mujeres y han perdido sus trabajos. Por ello, aceptan un trabajo como animadores en un hotel. Las cosas se complican cuando los niños de los que tienen que cuidar son sus propios hijos. 

Y estos son tan solo unos pocos de la cantidad de estrenos que tendrán lugar a lo largo de todo el verano para que disfrutéis y acudáis a los cines a ver vuestras películas favoritas.

This fifth installment of the saga is set in the late 1960s. Away from the adventures of his youth, Indy, who has continued teaching at the university, retires. But his peace of mind is shaken when Helena, his goddaughter, appears. Spider-Man una obra de arte cinematográfica

Todos conocemos la infinidad de películas que existen sobre nuestro superhéroe arácnido favorito y la cantidad de actores que han dado vida a Peter Parker. Pero, no contentos con ello, el universo de Marvel quiso rizar el rizo una vez más e ir más allá. 

Ya en 2018 Peter Ramsey, Rodney Rothman y Bob Persichetti le dieron una vuelta de rosca a la vida de este superhéroe con la creación de “Spider-Man: un nuevo universo”. Esta era la primera vez que se lanzaba en la gran pantalla un filme sobre dicho superhéroe arácnido en animación. No suficiente con ello, los directores decidieron que el Spiderman de esta película no sería Peter Parker, sino Miles Morales, un adolescente que decide llevar una doble vida en la que compagina su rutina en el instituto con patrullar la ciudad y perseguir a villanos. En el universo de Miles no existe un Peter Parker. Él es el Peter Parker y, por tanto, el Spiderman de su universo. 

Tras el éxito de esta primera película, Marvel decidió producir una segunda producción sobre la doble vida de Miles Morales. Es entonces cuando nace “Spider-Man: Cruzando el Multiverso”, estrenada el pasado 2 de junio. En esta segunda parte, Miles se embarca en una nueva aventura épica que transportará al simpático Spiderman de Brooklyn a través del Multiverso para unir fuerzas con Gwen Stacy y un nuevo equipo. 

La ovación que ha recibido esta segunda entrega no ha tenido nada que envidiar a la primera. Ya no solo por la trama de la película, sino por también la calidad de los gráficos y la combinación de técnicas de animación. Muchos la califican como una obra de arte cinematográfica con la que se podría llenar un museo con sus fotogramas. Lo que impacta es la gran facilidad de los creadores de combinar distintos estilos artísticos no solo en una misma película, sino en una misma escena.

Sin duda esta creación de Joaquim Dos Santos está revolucionando el mundo cinematográfico y a todos sus seguidores. Esta película es una de esas que no te puedes perder, no solo para los seguidores de Marvel, sino para cualquier fan del cine pues es una obra digna de admirar. Y por si la has visto y te ha sabido a poco, no te preocupes, que sus creadores ya están pensando en la tercera entrega “Spider-Man Beyond the Spider-Verse”, que llegará a la gran pantalla el próximo 2024.

Spider-Man a cinematic work of art

We all know how many movies there are about our favorite Spider-Man superhero and how many actors have brought Peter Parker to life. But, not content with that, the Marvel universe wanted to curl the curl once again and go even further. 

Back in 2018, Peter Ramsey, Rodney Rothman and Bob Persichetti gave a twist to the life of this superhero with the creation of "Spider-Man: A New Universe". This was the first time a film about the animated arachnid superhero had been released on the big screen. Not enough with that, the directors decided that the Spiderman of this movie would not be Peter Parker, but Miles Morales, a teenager who decides to lead a double life in which he combines his high school routine with patrolling the city and chasing villains. In Miles' universe there is no Peter Parker. He is the Peter Parker and, therefore, the Spiderman of his universe. 

After the success of this first movie, Marvel decided to produce a second production about the double life of Miles Morales. That's when "Spider-Man: Crossing the Multiverse" was born, released last June 2. In this second part, Miles embarks on a new epic adventure that will transport the friendly Spider-Man from Brooklyn across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team. 

The ovation that this second installment has received has had nothing to envy to the first one. Not only for the plot of the movie, but also for the quality of the graphics and the combination of animation techniques. Many qualify it as a cinematographic work of art that could fill a museum with its frames. What is striking is the great facility of the creators to combine different artistic styles not only in the same film, but also in the same scene. 

Undoubtedly, this creation by Joaquim Dos Santos is revolutionizing the film world and all its followers. This film is one of those that you can not miss, not only for Marvel fans, but for any movie fan because it is a work worthy of admiration. And if you've seen it and you haven't had enough, don't worry, its creators are already thinking about the third installment "Spider-Man Beyond the Spider-Verse", which will hit the big screen next 2024.

“Valeria”, feminismo en pantalla

Si buscas una serie actual, con problemas de la vida de hoy en día, es tu serie. “Valeria”, basada en las novelas de la gran escritora Elisabet Benavent, aborda desde su protagonista y sus 3 amigas, los problemas cotidianos de una mujer rozando los 30 desde el humor y la realidad. 

La serie muestra la vida de Valeria, una escritora joven, felizmente casada cuyo primer libro ha resultado ser un completo éxito. Ella, junto a sus amigas, cada una totalmente distinta a las demás, se comen las calles de Madrid disfrutando al máximo de sus vidas. Todo se tuerce, cuando en la vida de Valeria aparece Víctor, quien romperá todos los esquemas de su cabeza y dará un giro a su vida de 360º. A raíz de la aparición de Víctor nada vuelve a ser igual y Valeria experimenta, a lo largo de la serie, una transformación y crecimiento como escritora y como persona. 

Pero no podemos olvidarnos de sus amigas, en primer lugar tenemos a Lola. Lola es un alma libre, alocada, le encanta divertirse y disfrutar de su sexualidad al máximo, es una fiestera y una cabeza loca. Pero tiene un gran dilema: nunca sabe elegir bien a los hombres. Es por ello que ella prefiere ser libre y vivir su vida a su bola. En el personaje de Lola se puede ver representada la libertad, el ser como una quiera ser sin que le importe lo más mínimo lo que la gente opine de ella, la independencia y el empoderamiento femenino. 

Luego tenemos a Nerea. Nerea no ha tenido una vida fácil, siempre siendo la hija perfecta que sus padres han querido. Pero Nerea no aguanta más y decide liberarse. A lo largo de la serie vemos cómo esa perfección en la que la habían encasillado sus padres se va desmoronando poco a poco y empieza a vivir la vida que ella realmente quiere y con las personas que ella quiere. En Nerea se puede encontrar una amiga fiel, que da por las personas que quiere todo lo que puede y más. Eso sí, no tiene pelos en la lengua y si te tiene que poner la cara colorada no dudará en hacerlo. Le gusta que todo este perfecto, es una tarita que se le ha quedado de su infancia, y no se pasa ni un mínimo error. Nerea representa una mujer fuerte, harta de lo que muchos consideran “normal”. A pesar de ser demasiado obsesa y perfeccionista, en  el fondo lo que ella quiere es vivir su vida, ser feliz y encontrar al amor de su vida.

No podemos olvidarnos de Carmen. Carmen es como la niña pequeña, la despistada, la inocente. Pero ahí donde la ves, Carmen es una mujer muy trabajadora y luchadora a la cual le encanta su trabajo. Es un ejemplo de mujer empoderada tanto como lo son las demás. A pesar  de vivir en un mundo laboral aun bastante machista, Carmen lucha a capa y espada por ser la mejor en lo suyo. Es tan buena trabajadora que todo esfuerzo obtiene su recompensa y acaba consiguiendo el ascenso de sus sueños y, encima, consigue al chico del que lleva enamorada desde que entró en la empresa. Sin duda Carmen se propone todo lo que consigue a base de esfuerzo y trabajo duro. 

Como puedes ver, las 4 protagonistas representan a 4 tipos de mujeres muy diferentes pero todas luchadoras y defensoras de sus derechos y libertades. “Valeria” te va a hacer pasar un gran rato con las locuras de estas 4 chicas que, en algunas ocasiones, se creen que todavía tienen 20 años. Es una serie que recomendamos por los valores feministas que refleja y no te arrepentirás de darle una oportunidad. ¿A qué estás esperando? Seguro que te identificas con ellas en más de una ocasión.

"Valeria", feminism on screen 

If you are looking for a current series, with problems of today's life, this is your series. "Valeria", based on the novels of the great writer Elisabet Benavent, addresses from its protagonist and her 3 friends, the daily problems of a woman in her 30's with humor and reality. 

The series shows the life of Valeria, a young, happily married writer whose first book has turned out to be a complete success. She, along with her friends, each one totally different from the others, eat the streets of Madrid enjoying their lives to the fullest. Everything goes wrong when Victor appears in Valeria's life, who will break all the schemes of her head and will give a 360º turn to her life. As a result of Victor's appearance, nothing is the same and Valeria experiences, throughout the series, a transformation and growth as a writer and as a person. 

But we cannot forget her friends, first and foremost Lola. Lola is a free soul, crazy, she loves to have fun and enjoy her sexuality to the fullest, she is a party animal and a crazy head. But she has a big dilemma: she never knows how to choose men well. That's why she prefers to be free and live her life on her own. In Lola's character we can see represented freedom, being as one wants to be without caring what people think of her, independence and female empowerment. 

Then we have Nerea. Nerea has not had an easy life, always being the perfect daughter that her parents have wanted. But Nerea can't take it anymore and decides to break free. Throughout the series we see how that perfection in which her parents had pigeonholed her gradually crumbles and she begins to live the life she really wants and with the people she loves. In Nerea you can find a faithful friend, who gives for the people she loves everything she can and more. She doesn't mince words and if she has to make your face red she won't hesitate to do it. She likes everything to be perfect, it's a little bit that she has left from her childhood, and she doesn't miss even the slightest mistake. Nerea represents a strong woman, fed up with what many consider "normal". Despite being too obsessive and perfectionist, deep down what she wants is to live her life, be happy and find the love of her life.

We can't forget Carmen. Carmen is like the little girl, the clueless, the innocent one. But wherever you see her, Carmen is a hard-working, hard-fighting woman who loves her job. She is as much an example of an empowered woman as the others. Despite living in a working world that is still quite macho, Carmen fights tooth and nail to be the best at what she does. She is such a good worker that every effort is rewarded and she ends up getting the promotion of her dreams and, on top of that, she gets the guy she has been in love with since she joined the company. Undoubtedly, Carmen aims for everything she achieves through effort and hard work. 

As you can see, the 4 main characters represent 4 very different types of women, but all of them are fighters and defenders of their rights and freedoms. "Valeria" is going to make you have a great time with the madness of these 4 girls who, in some occasions, believe they are still 20 years old. It is a series that we recommend for the feminist values it reflects and you will not regret giving it a chance. What are you waiting for? Surely you will identify with them on more than one occasion.

Top 10 Netflix España. El ranking de las series que triunfan en nuestro país

Cine, teatro… No podíamos dejarnos la pequeña pantalla fuera. Es por ello, que os traemos un pequeño resumen sobre las series que están triunfando en Netflix durante este comienzo de junio en nuestro país. 

En primer lugar, liderando el top nos encontramos con “PerfilFalso”, una drama romántico colombiano que cuenta cómo Camila encuentra a su príncipe azul en una aplicación de citas. Después de una relación idílica, decide darle una sorpresa, pero esta acaba atrapada en un falso paraíso. 

En segunda posición, tenemos la primera temporada de “FUBAR”, la nueva serie de Arnold Schwarzenegger. Cuando un hombre y su hija descubren que los dos trabajan para la CIA en secreto, una misión encubierta de alta tensión se convierte en una peliaguda reunión familiar. 

Cerrando el podio por debajo, nos encontramos con la tercera temporada de “Valeria”, la serie basada en las exitosas novelas de Elísabet Benavent. Una escritora, sumida en un bloque creativo y una crisis de pareja, encuentra apoyo en sus tres mejores amigas. En esta nueva temporada Valeria y las chicas se enfrentarán a nuevos líos y dramas como encontrar la pareja ideal, la crisis de los 30 o enfrentarse a una boda. 

En cuarta posición, tenemos “El silencio”, protagonizada por Arón Piper. Sergio lleva sin hablar desde que asesinó a sus padres hace seis años. Ahora, una psiquiatra pone en marcha una retorcida investigación para intentar descubrir qué pasó realmente. 

En la quinta posición, se encuentra la primera temporada de “Rabode Peixe”. Este drama portugués comienza cuando un barco cargado de cocaína se hunde en la isla donde vive él. Eduardo ve la oportunidad perfecta, aunque peligrosa, de ganar dinero y hacer realidad sus sueños. ¿Le saldrá bien la jugada? 

En sexto lugar tenemos “La reina Carlota:Una historia de Bridgerton”, la precuela de “Los Bridgerton” en la que la boda de la joven Carlota y Jorge de Inglaterra marca el principio de un romance épico y transforma la alta sociedad por completo. Si eres fan de las series de época y “Los Bridgerton” te supieron a poco, te falta tiempo para devorar esta pequeña serie de 6 episodios. 

En la séptima posición, nos encontramos con “NewAmsterdam”. Uno de los hospitales más antiguos de Estados Unidos le da la bienvenida a su nuevo director, el inconformista doctor Max Goodwin, que pretende darle un cambio y salvar vidas. ¿Qué ocurrirá en esta tercera temporada? 

En octava posición, tenemos la cuarta temporada de “Manifiesto”. Cuando un avión aterriza varios años después de haber despegado, sus pasajeros vuelven a un mundo que ha avanzado sin ellos y viven nuevas y extrañas realidades. 

En noveno lugar nos encontramos con “13 DÍAS”. Esta docuserie española es una crónica de los angustiosos 13 días de esfuerzos para rescatar al pequeño Julen de un pozo ilegal en Málaga. La docuserie cuenta con entrevistas e imágenes nunca antes vistas.

Por último, cerrando el ranking, tenemos “Besos, Kitty” de los creadores de “A todos los chicos de los que me enamoré”. En esta ocasión, nuestra protagonista es Kitty, al rededor de la cual surge una nueva historia de amor tras reencontrarse con su novio a distancia en el  mismo internado en el que estudió su difunta madre.

Top 10 Netflix Spain. The ranking of the series that triumph in our country 

Cinema, theater... We could not leave the small screen out. That is why we bring you a small summary of the series that are triumphing on Netflix during the beginning of June in our country. 

In first place, leading the top we find “FakeProfile", a Colombian romantic drama that tells how Camila finds her prince charming in a dating app. After an idyllic relationship, she decides to surprise him, but she ends up trapped in a false paradise. 

In second position, we have the first season of "FUBAR", Arnold Schwarzenegger's new series. When a man and his daughter discover that they are both secretly working for the CIA, a high-tension covert mission turns into a hairy family reunion. 

Closing the podium below, we find the third season of "Valeria", the series based on the successful novels by Elísabet Benavent. A writer, immersed in a creative block and a couple crisis, finds support in her three best friends. In this new season, Valeria and the girls will face new problems and dramas such as finding the ideal partner, the crisis of the 30's or facing a wedding. 

In fourth position, we have "El silencio", starring Arón Piper. Sergio hasn't spoken since he murdered his parents six years ago. Now, a psychiatrist sets in motion a twisted investigation to try to find out what really happened. 

In fifth place is the first season of "Rabo de Peixe". This Portuguese drama begins when a boat loaded with cocaine sinks off the island where he lives. Eduardo sees the perfect, albeit dangerous, opportunity to earn money and make his dreams come true. Will it work out well for him?

In sixth place we have "Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”, the prequel to "The Bridgertons" in which the wedding of young Charlotte and George of England marks the beginning of an epic romance and transforms high society completely. If you are a fan of period series and "The Bridgertons" was not enough for you, you are short of time to devour this short 6-episode series. 

In the seventh position, we find "New Amsterdam". One of the oldest hospitals in the United States welcomes its new director, the maverick Dr. Max Goodwin, who intends to change it and save lives. What will happen in this third season? 

In eighth position, we have the fourth season of “Manifest”. When a plane lands several years after taking off, its passengers return to a world that has moved on without them and live new and strange realities. 

In ninth place is "13DÍAS". This Spanish docuseries chronicles the harrowing 13-day effort to rescue little Julen from an illegal well in Malaga. The docuseries features interviews and never-before-seen footage. 

Finally, closing the ranking, we have "XO, Kitty" from the creators of "A todos los chicos de los que me enamoré". On this occasion, our protagonist is Kitty, around whom a new love story emerges after meeting her long-distance boyfriend again at the same boarding school where her late mother studied. 

And this is the end of our weekly ranking for June. We hope to have discovered new series and to have awakened in you the desire and curiosity to want to immerse yourself in one of them.

Nuestra recomendación teatral para este mes de junio

Te recomendamos algunas de las obras de teatro que se estarán estrenando y representando en Madrid durante el mes de junio. 

En primer lugar, tanto si eres fan de la ópera como si no, recomendados “Carmina Burana”. Pero no una “Carmina Burana” cualquiera, sino el de la compañía La Fura Dels Baus, uno de los iconos más excéntricos e innovadores del teatro y la danza en nuestro país. Esta compañía presenta su particular versión de la gran e inolvidable obra de Carl Orff. La compañía propone su primer gran macroespectáculo después de la pandemia e inspirado en la misma crirsis. Bajo el nombre de NN (Nueva Normalidad), la compañía presenta un compendio de actuaciones centradas en el coronavirus como enemigo común de la humanidad. Una oportunidad para luchar pero también para aprender una lección común y encaminarnos al desarrollo sostenible. 

Un cilindro de diez metros de diámetro envuelve a la orquesta sobre el escenario, para que sean las proyecciones y los cantantes los que cobre el protagonismo e ilustren la evolución de esta pieza símbolo de contundencia y de fuerza. La Fura Dels Baus incluirá las piezas: una luna gigante, el deshielo, cascada de agua, un éxtasis floral, una vendimia en directo, mucho vino, agua y fuego. 

Dirigida por Carlus Padrissa, la obra es un homenaje a todos los profesionales del ámbito sanitario. El objetivo de la obra es el de recaudar fondos en la lucha contra el COVID-19. Es por ello, que la compañía no solo ofrecerá actuaciones en festivales y grandes recintos, sino que también hará una gira por todos los hospitales del país. No te puedes perder “Carmina Burana, La Fura Dels Baus” en estado puro que se estará representando en el Teatro Calderón hasta el viernes 30 de junio

Otra recomendación es “El aroma de Roma”, una comedia de Santiago Lancha. Muestra la historia de Cayo, un bailarín que ofende a Nerón en una de sus famosas bacanales, por lo que el emperador le condena a muerte. Por suerte logra escapar y planea ocultarse en una escuela de baile al tiempo que persigue su sueño de ser un gran saltator. Pero se confunde de casa y acaba en la escuela de gladiadores del senador Pisón. El equívoco llevará a Cayo, sin pretenderlo y casi sin saberlo, a formar parte de una conspiración contra Nerón, a ocasionar el declive de los juegos de gladiadores y a revolucionar el teatro, la música y la danza. Y, sobretodo, a provocar muchas muchas risas. 

La obra combina la comedia con la cultura clásica de la antigua Grecia adornada con problemas de la vida cotidiana y actual. ¿Te apetece pasar un buen rato? No dudes en coger tus entradas. La obra se estará representando en el Teatro Reina Victoria del 15 de junio al 30 de julio.

Our theatrical recommendation for the month of June 

We recommend some of the plays that will be premiering and performing in Madrid during the month of June. 

First of all, whether you are an opera fan or not, we recommend "Carmina Burana". But not just any "Carmina Burana", but that of the company La Fura Dels Baus, one of the most eccentric and innovative icons of theater and dance in our country. This company presents its particular version of the great and unforgettable work of Carl Orff. The company proposes its first big macro-show after the pandemic and inspired by the same crisis. Under the name NN (New Normality), the company presents a compendium of performances focused on the coronavirus as a common enemy of humanity. An opportunity to fight but also to learn a common lesson and move towards sustainable development. 

A cylinder of ten meters in diameter surrounds the orchestra on stage, so that the projections and singers are the ones who take center stage and illustrate the evolution of this piece symbol of forcefulness and strength. La Fura Dels Baus will include the pieces: a giant moon, the thaw, a waterfall, a floral ecstasy, a live grape harvest, lots of wine, water and fire. 

Directed by Carlus Padrissa, the play is a tribute to all health professionals. The aim of the play is to raise funds in the fight against COVID-19. That is why the company will not only offer performances at festivals and large venues, but will also tour all the hospitals in the country. You can't miss "Carmina Burana, La Fura Dels Baus" in its purest form, which will be performed at the Calderón Theater until Friday, June 30.

Another recommendation is "El aroma de Roma", a comedy by Santiago Lancha. It shows the story of Caius, a dancer who offends Nero in one of his famous bacchanals, for which the emperor condemns him to death. Luckily he manages to escape and plans to hide in a dance school while pursuing his dream of being a great jumper. But he gets the wrong house and ends up at Senator Pison's gladiatorial school. The mistake will lead Gaius, unwittingly and almost unknowingly, to be part of a conspiracy against Nero, to cause the decline of the gladiatorial games and to revolutionize theater, music and dance. And, above all, to provoke many many laughs. 

The play combines comedy with the classical culture of ancient Greece embellished with the problems of everyday life and today's world. Do you feel like having a good time? Don't hesitate to get your tickets. The play will be performed at the Teatro Reina Victoria from June 15 to July 30.
