PELO MALO SE LLEVA LA CONCHA
DE ORO
El pasado sábado 28 de setiembre se celebro la ceremonia de clausura y
entrega de premios de la 61ª
edición del Festival de San Sebastián.
Una edición que como cada año ha sido muy intensa donde se ha visto cine
de todo el mundo y cubriendo todos los temas posibles. Pero ha destacado el
claro predominio de producciones españolas e hispanoamericanas.
El jurado estaba presidido por Todd Haynes juntamente con David Byrne,
Cesc Gay, Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi, Diego Luna, Paulina García y Mariela
Besuievsky, fueron los encargados de conceder los premios de esta edición del
Festival de San Sebastián.
Sin lugar a duda la gran triunfadora del festival fue “Pelo Malo” de Mariana Rondón que obtuvo la
Concha de Oro. Una producción que critica la intolerancia en la sociedad
venezolana. Todo un éxito para una coproducción
entre Venezuela, Argentina, Perú y Alemania, además de ser el proyecto en la
sección oficial con menor presupuesto.
Por otro
lado, “La
herida” de Fernando Franco fue una
de las mayores sorpresas agradando tanto al público como al jurado por lo que consiguió el Premio Especial del
Jurado y el Premio a la mejor actriz para Marian Álvarez.
Los otros premios fueron para; el mexicano Fernando Wimbcke por su
trabajo en “Club Sandwich” que se llevo la Concha de Plata al mejor director.
“Week-end” que se presentaba como una de las favoritas para la Concha de Oro,
pero finalmente fue galardonada con la Concha de Plata al mejor actor por el
trabajo de Jim Broadbent. El Premio del Jurado al mejor guión fue para “Quai
d’Orsay” y el Premio del Jurado a la mejor fotografía fue para Pau Esteve Birba
por “Cánibal” de Manuel Martín Cuenca.

PELO MALO TAKES THE GOLDEN SHELL
On Saturday September 28 was held the closing ceremony
and awards ceremony of the 61st edition of the San Sebastian Festival.
This edition, as each year, has been very intense
where have seen films from around the world and it covering every possible
topics. But it has highlighted the predominance of Spanish and Latin American
productions.
The jury was chaired by Todd Haynes with David Byrne,
Cesc Gay, Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi, Diego Luna, Besuievsky Mariela Garcia and
Paulina were in charge of awarding the prizes at this year's Festival of San
Sebastian.
Without a doubt the big winner of the festival was “Pelo Malo” by Mariana Rondon which won the Golden Shell. A
production that criticize the intolerance in Venezuelan society. A success for
a co-production between Venezuela ,
Argentina , Peru and Germany
On the other hand, “La herida”by Fernando Franco was one of the biggest surprises
pleasing both the public and the jury for this it got the Special Jury Prize
and Best Actress Award for Marian Alvarez.
The other awards went to, the Mexican Fernando Wimbcke
for his work on "Club Sandwich" which took the Silver Shell for Best
Director. "Week-end" which was presented as a favorite for the Golden
Shell, but it was eventually awarded the Silver Shell for best actor for Jim
Broadbent's work. Jury Prize for Best Screenplay went to "Quai d'Orsay " and the Jury Prize for Best
Cinematography went to Pau Esteve Birba by "Cannibal" Manuel Martín
