Nuestra recomendación teatral para este mes de junio

Te recomendamos algunas de las obras de teatro que se estarán estrenando y representando en Madrid durante el mes de junio. 

En primer lugar, tanto si eres fan de la ópera como si no, recomendados “Carmina Burana”. Pero no una “Carmina Burana” cualquiera, sino el de la compañía La Fura Dels Baus, uno de los iconos más excéntricos e innovadores del teatro y la danza en nuestro país. Esta compañía presenta su particular versión de la gran e inolvidable obra de Carl Orff. La compañía propone su primer gran macroespectáculo después de la pandemia e inspirado en la misma crirsis. Bajo el nombre de NN (Nueva Normalidad), la compañía presenta un compendio de actuaciones centradas en el coronavirus como enemigo común de la humanidad. Una oportunidad para luchar pero también para aprender una lección común y encaminarnos al desarrollo sostenible. 

Un cilindro de diez metros de diámetro envuelve a la orquesta sobre el escenario, para que sean las proyecciones y los cantantes los que cobre el protagonismo e ilustren la evolución de esta pieza símbolo de contundencia y de fuerza. La Fura Dels Baus incluirá las piezas: una luna gigante, el deshielo, cascada de agua, un éxtasis floral, una vendimia en directo, mucho vino, agua y fuego. 

Dirigida por Carlus Padrissa, la obra es un homenaje a todos los profesionales del ámbito sanitario. El objetivo de la obra es el de recaudar fondos en la lucha contra el COVID-19. Es por ello, que la compañía no solo ofrecerá actuaciones en festivales y grandes recintos, sino que también hará una gira por todos los hospitales del país. No te puedes perder “Carmina Burana, La Fura Dels Baus” en estado puro que se estará representando en el Teatro Calderón hasta el viernes 30 de junio

Otra recomendación es “El aroma de Roma”, una comedia de Santiago Lancha. Muestra la historia de Cayo, un bailarín que ofende a Nerón en una de sus famosas bacanales, por lo que el emperador le condena a muerte. Por suerte logra escapar y planea ocultarse en una escuela de baile al tiempo que persigue su sueño de ser un gran saltator. Pero se confunde de casa y acaba en la escuela de gladiadores del senador Pisón. El equívoco llevará a Cayo, sin pretenderlo y casi sin saberlo, a formar parte de una conspiración contra Nerón, a ocasionar el declive de los juegos de gladiadores y a revolucionar el teatro, la música y la danza. Y, sobretodo, a provocar muchas muchas risas. 

La obra combina la comedia con la cultura clásica de la antigua Grecia adornada con problemas de la vida cotidiana y actual. ¿Te apetece pasar un buen rato? No dudes en coger tus entradas. La obra se estará representando en el Teatro Reina Victoria del 15 de junio al 30 de julio.

Our theatrical recommendation for the month of June 

We recommend some of the plays that will be premiering and performing in Madrid during the month of June. 

First of all, whether you are an opera fan or not, we recommend "Carmina Burana". But not just any "Carmina Burana", but that of the company La Fura Dels Baus, one of the most eccentric and innovative icons of theater and dance in our country. Directed by Carlus Padrissa, the play is a tribute to all health professionals. The aim of the play is to raise funds in the fight against COVID-19. That is why the company will not only offer performances at festivals and large venues, but will also tour all the hospitals in the country. You can't miss "Carmina Burana, La Fura Dels Baus" in its purest form, which will be performed at the Calderón Theater until Friday, June 30.

Another recommendation is "El aroma de Roma", a comedy by Santiago Lancha. It shows the story of Caius, a dancer who offends Nero in one of his famous bacchanals, for which the emperor condemns him to death. Luckily he manages to escape and plans to hide in a dance school while pursuing his dream of being a great jumper. But he gets the wrong house and ends up at Senator Pison's gladiatorial school. The mistake will lead Gaius, unwittingly and almost unknowingly, to be part of a conspiracy against Nero, to cause the decline of the gladiatorial games and to revolutionize theater, music and dance. And, above all, to provoke many many laughs. 

The play combines comedy with the classical culture of ancient Greece embellished with the problems of everyday life and today's world. Do you feel like having a good time? Don't hesitate to get your tickets. The play will be performed at the Teatro Reina Victoria from June 15 to July 30.
