Autocine, una forma innovadora de disfrutar de tus películas favoritas

Más que innovadora se podría definir como vintage, porque no, el autocine no es una creación del siglo XXI. Nace en 1933 en Nueva Jersey, Estados Unidos cuando Richard M. Hollingshead Jr, gerente de la marca de lubricantes para coches Whiz, inventó esta nueva forma de disfrutar de la gran pantalla sin ser consciente del gran negocio que había creado. 

En España, el primer autocine fue Motocine Barajas. Nació en 1959 en la actual Alameda de Osuna de la mano de Antonio Garrigues Díaz-Cañabate y Pepín Bello. Pero en el siglo XXI no se había oído hablar de autocines de nuevo hasta 2016, con la llegada de Autocines Race que instalaron dos grandes pantallas en las ciudades de Málaga y Madrid. 

En Madrid encontramos el Autocine Madrid Fever donde podrás disfrutar de una experiencia 100% americana. Además de contar con una pantalla gigante de 250 metros cuadrados, el recinto está ambientado en los años 50 con food trucks de todo tipo o un Diner en el que pedir desde nachos o hamburguesas hasta palomitas para disfrutar de las proyecciones. Por todo ello, la organización recomienda ir con una hora o más de antelación al comienzo de la película para que puedas disfrutar de las diferentes instalaciones. 

La parte innovadora de estos autocines, además de la tecnología de audio y vídeo mucho más novedosas y adaptadas que en los años 50, es el servicio de comida ya que no solo puedes disfrutar de los food trucks antes de las proyecciones, sino también durante las mismas. Es tan sencillo como descargarte la aplicación que te indican al entrar y sin tener que moverte de tu coche ni perderte ni un solo segundo de la película, la comida te llegará enseguida. Es por ello, que este cine no es solo un cine de verano, ofrecen servicio 365 días al año con todo adaptado para que ni siquiera la lluvia o el mal tiempo arruinen tu experiencia.

Por otro lado, su cartelera es muy variada. No solo proyectan los grandes estrenos que llegan a todos los cines, sino que también se puede disfrutar de clásicos de toda la vida como Grease o Regreso al Futuro y de documentales musicales de los grupos y bandas más famosos de la historia. 

Además, es una actividad perfecta para todos los públicos. Puedes ir en pareja, en familia, con niños pequeños con amigos e incluso con mascotas. El recinto está habilitado para el disfrute de todos. Drive-in theater, an innovative way to enjoy your favourite movies 

More than innovative, it could be defined as vintage, because no, the drive-in theater is not a creation of the 21st century. It was born in 1933 in New Jersey, United States when Richard M. 'Sin Novedad en el Frente' hace historia en los Bafta 2023

 La película alemana arrasó en los premios de cine británicos. 

El pasado domingo 19 el Royal Festival Hall de Londres abría sus puertas para celebrar los prestigiosos premios de la Academia de Cine Británica. Fue una gala de grandes momentos y emociones en la que la película alemana Sin Novedad en el Frente consiguió hacer historia. El largometraje recibió siete de los catorce galardones a los que había sido nominada, entre ellos,  mejor película y mejor dirección. El filme batió récords en la historia del cine al ser la primera película de habla no inglesa que más Bafta ha ganado. Esta producción de Netflix no solo ha causado sensación en los cines británicos, también ha sido nominada a los Oscar como la representante alemana al Oscar a mejor película internacional. 

A pesar de que la gran protagonista de la noche fue sin duda Sin Novedad en el Frente, hubo muchos otros ganadores como Cate Blanchett ganadora del Bafta a mejor actriz protagonista por su papel en TÁR. La actriz, a pesar de confesar que no llevaba un discurso preparado, dedicó unas palabras de lo más empoderadoras para las mujeres reconociendo que había sido un año extraordinario para ellas. La intérprete que da vida a la directora de orquesta alemana Lydia Tar también está nominada al Oscar por este papel. 

Otra de las protagonistas de la noche fue Emma Mackey ganadora del Bafta a estrella emergente. Con 27 años y solo cuatro años de experiencia ante las cámaras, la actriz que interpreta a Maeve en Sex Education confesaba que no se veía preparada para ganar. Tras haber ganado uno de los galardones más prestigiosos de la industria seguro que a la joven actriz comienzan a lloverle los papeles.

Sin duda alguna otra de las sensaciones de la noche fue Austin Butler, ganador del Bafta a mejor actor protagonista por su interpretación en Elvis. El actor se impuso en su categoría frente a los grandes favoritos, Colin Farrell y Brendan Fraser, haciéndose con la estatuilla. El joven ya ganó el Globo de Oro en la misma categoría y también opta al Oscar como mejor actor el próximo 12 de marzo.

De los Bafta no solo destaca la gala, sino también la alfombra roja en la que todos las estrellas esperan lucir sus trajes y ser fotografiados además de atender a la prensa. Esta es una de las alfombras rojas que más da que hablar al mundo de la moda. En esta edición de los premios ha habido en ella una gran variedad tanto de actores como de sus vestimentas. Entre los numerosos rostros que cruzaron la “red carpet” se encuentran los de Ana de Armas, Cate Blanchett, Sara Sampaio o Anya Taylor-Joy, todos ellos muy vinculados al mundo de la alta costura.

All Quiet on the Western Front makes history at the BAFTAs 2023.  

The German film achieved an overwhelming victory at the British film awards. 

Last Sunday the Royal Festival Hall of London opened its doors to celebrate the prestigious British Film Academy Awards. It was a ceremony full of great moments and emotions in which the German film All quiet on the Western Front managed to make history. The feature film received seven of the fourteen awards for which it had been nominated including best film and best direction. The film broke records in film history by being the first non-English language film to win the most number of awards. The Netflix production has not only caused a sensation in British cinemas, it has also been nominated for an Oscar as the German representative for the Best International Film. 

Although the main character of the night was undoubtedly All Quiet on the Western Front, there were many other winners such as Cate Blanchett, winner of the Bafta for the best actress for her role in TÁR. The actress, despite confessing that she had not prepared a speech, dedicated some empowering words to women, acknowledging that it had been an extraordinary year for them. The interpreter who gives life to the German conductor Lydia Tar is also nominated for an Oscar for this role.

Another of the stars of the night was Emma Mackey, winner of the Bafta for emerging star. With only four years of experience in front of the cameras, the 27 years old actress who plays Maeve in Sex Education confessed that she did not see herself prepared to win. Top 10, series más populares de Netflix en España esta semana

 Todas las veces que nos enamoramos destrona a La chica de nieve después de estar la primera del ranking por tres semanas consecutivas. 

Como cada semana Netflix ha publicado su ranking de series más populares. Tras el estreno tan esperado de la nueva temporada de You, La chica de nieve ha bajado no uno ni dos, sino tres puestos en el ranking de la plataforma quedando en cuarta posición y dejando el top 10 semanal de la siguiente manera:

 

TOP 1. Todas las veces que nos enamoramos. Esta serie española bajo la dirección de Carlos Montero se podría clasificar como drama romántico o adolescente. Que menos que en el mes del amor, con San Valentín de por medio, Netflix no aprovechase para estrenar todo tipo de romances y dramas. Cuenta la historia de Irene (Georgina Amorós) y Julio (Franco Masini), dos jóvenes que estudian en el mismo instituto. Ellos no se conocen de nada pero acabarán enamorados. ¿Qué pasará con esta historia de amor?

 

TOP 2. You. Si eres fan de los thrillers pero también te gusta el drama esta es tu serie. Tras tres temporadas previas, Penn Badgley vuelve a dar vida a Joe Goldberg para contarnos cómo avanza su vida con su mujer, Love, y cómo a pesar de todo hace lo que está en su mano (o no) para que sea lo más “normal” posible. ¿Aparecerá alguien que descuadre los esquemas de Joe de nuevo?

 

TOP 3. La ley de Lidia Poët. Esta serie policiaca, inspirada en la historia real de la primera mujer abogada de Italia, muestra la historia de Lidia Poët, una mujer fuerte y decidida de finales del siglo XIX con las ideas muy claras. Su deseo es ejercer de abogada pero en la época en la que vive las mujeres no lo tienen permitido. En este drama, Lidia investigará asesinatos mientras lucha por conseguir su sueño.

 TOP 4. La chica de nieve. Destronada del primer puesto en el ranking después de tres semanas liderándolo, esta miniserie basada en el bestseller de Javier Castillo cuenta como una joven periodista interpretada por Milena Smit se dejará la piel para la ayudar a una familia desesperada por encontrar a su hija, la pequeña Amaya, que desapareció durante la cabalgata de los Reyes Magos en Málaga. Si te gustan las series de suspense y José Coronado no te la puedes perder. 

TOP 5. La reina del sur. La serie policiaca que ya suma tres temporadas ha sufrido en esta última un declive en su audiencia dejándola en el puesto número 5 del ranking. Cuenta la historia de una mujer humilde que pasó a convertirse en una leyenda del narcotráfico.

 TOP 6. Habilidad física: 100. Un reality coreano en el que 100 concursantes en plena forma física deberán enfrentarse a una serie de pruebas para ganar la competición y hacerse con el premio. 

TOP 7. Machos Alfa. En esta comedia un grupo de amigos se encuentra algo perdido tratando de adaptarse a la sociedad actual en la que vivimos, una sociedad de mujeres empoderadas. La serie pretende abordar un tema muy relevante e importante en estos tiempos como es el feminismo desde un punto de vista humorístico.

 TOP 8. Hasta que la plata nossepare. El drama romántico colombiano muestra la vida de una rica y glamurosa jefa de ventas que se ve implicada en un accidente de tráfico. Su venganza contra el conductor del otro vehículo acabará por despertar sentimientos entre ambos protagonistas. ¿Surgirá el amor entre ellos? 

TOP 9. Café con aroma de mujer. Parece que la televisión colombiana está teniendo éxito en España. Encontramos dentro del ranking un segundo drama colombiano. En este caso, se trata de un remake de la telenovela de 1994 que cuenta la historia de amor entre Gaviota, una agricultora, y Sebastián, el hijo de una familia adinerada dedicada a la producción de café.

 TOP 10. Aquí no hay quien viva. Un clásico de la televisión española que sigue conservando un puesto en el ranking a pesar de los años. Porque ¿a quién no le apetece a veces desconectar de la rutina? Y que mejor manera de hacerlo que adentrándonos en este loco vecindario donde lo más normal es que las vecinas se cuentan los cotilleos del edificio gritando de ventana en ventana.

Top 10 most popular Netflix series in Spain this week. 

In Love all Over Again dethrones The Snow Girl after being at the top 1 of the ranking for three consecutive weeks. 

As every week, Netflix has published its most popular tv series ranking. After the long-awaited release of the new season of You, The Snow Girl has dropped not one nor two, but three positions in the platform´s ranking remaining in fourth position and leaving the weekly top 10 as follows: 

TOP 1. In Love All Over Again. This Spanish series directed by Carlos Montero could be classified as romantic or teen drama. That less than in the month of love, with Valentine´s Day messing around, Netflix did not take advantage of and releases all kinds of romances and dramas. It tells the story of Irene (Georgina Amorós) and Julio (Franco Masini), two young students of the same high school. They don’t know each other yet but they will end up falling in love. What will happen with this romance? 

TOP 2. You. If you are fan of thrillers but you also like drama, this id your series. After three previous seasons, Penn Badgley brings Joe Goldberg back to life to show was how his life with his wife, Love, progresses and how he does everything in his power (or not) to make it as “normal” as possible. Her desire is to practice as a lawyer but in the era in which she lives, women are not allowed to do so. In this drama, Lidia will investigate murders while se fights to achieve her dream.

 

TOP 4. The Snow Girl. Dethroned from the first place in the ranking after being three consecutive weeks leading it, this miniseries basad on Javier Castillo´s bestseller tells how a young journalist played by Milena Smit will work her fingers to the bone in order to help a family desperate to find their daughter, the little Amaya, who disappeared during the Three Wise Men’s parade in Málaga. If you like thrillers and José Coronado you can’t miss it. 

TOP 5. La Reina del Sur. The crime series that already has three seasons has suffered a decline in its audience in the latest one leaving it in the top 5 of the ranking. It shows the story of a humble woman who become a drug dealer legend.

 

TOP 6. Physical: 100. A Korean reality show in which 100 contestants in top physical shape must face a series of tests to win the competition. 

TOP 7. Machos Alfa. In this comedy, a group of friends find themselves lost trying to adapt to the current society in which we live, a society of empowered women. The series aims to deal with a very relevant and important topic nowadays, feminism, from a humorous perspective.

 

TOP 8. Hasta que la plata nos separe. The Colombian romantic drama follows the life of a rich and glamorous sales manager who is involved in a traffic accident. Her revenge against the driver of the other vehicle will end up awakening feelings between both characters. Will love arise between them? 

TOP 9. Café con aroma de Mujer. It seems that Colombian television is having success in Spain. We found within the ranking a second Colombian drama. In this case, it is a remake of the 1994 soap opera that tells the love story between Gaviota, a farmer, and Sebastián, the son of a wealthy family dedicated to coffee production.

 

TOP 10. Aquí no hay quien viva. A classic of Spanish television that continues holding a position in the ranking despite the years. Las mujeres, principales protagonistas de la gala de los Goya 2023

 

Una gala en la que el feminismo y la sororidad fueron los mensajes más transmitidos.

El pasado sábado se celebró en el Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de Sevilla la 37ª edición de los Premios Goya. La gala fue dedicada al gran Carlos Saura, fallecido el día anterior. El cineasta había sido galardonado con el Goya de Honor por su importante y amplio trabajo cinematográfico, premio que recogieron su actual mujer y dos de sus hijos recibiendo más de dos minutos ininterrumpidos de aplausos. 

 

A pesar de ello, las principales protagonistas de la gala fueron ellas, las mujeres, ganando en categorías dominadas por hombres como Mejores Efectos Especiales en la que recibieron el galardón Esther Ballesteros y Ana Rubio por su trabajo en Modelo 77. Otro claro ejemplo fue el Goya a Mejor Dirección de Producción, categoría en la que todas las nominadas fueron mujeres. Los presentadores de la gala, Clara Lago y Antonio de la Torre Martín, tampoco dudaron en rendir homenaje al mérito de todas las mujeres que trabajan en este sector y en reivindicar una industria justa con mucho cine hecho por mujeres. Fue el propio Antonio de la Torre quien pasó una por una comentando el gran trabajo de algunas de las grandes directoras cuyas películas estaban nominadas en la noche como Carla Simón por Alcarrás y Alauda Ruiz de Azúa por CincoLobitos. 

El Presidente de la Academiade cine, Fernando Méndez-Leite, también tuvo su momento para dedicar unas palabras. En ellas, reconocía una mayor incorporación de mujeres en todas la profesiones que involucra el cine. “Tres de las cinco nominadas a la mejor película están dirigidas por compañeras que dan una visión nueva sobre historias de ahora y de siempre. Pero también están lideradas por mujeres en la producción, cuatro de ellas también están escritas por mujeres. Esto es solo un principio”, comentaba el Presidente de la Academia.

Finalmente la ganadora del Goya a la Mejor Película fue As Bestas dirigida por Rodrigo Sorogoyen y galardonada con nueve cabezones. Pero ello no hace sombra al mérito de todas las mujeres ganadoras y nominadas de la gala y su gran esfuerzo y dedicación por el cine.

Además de la reivindicación de un mayor número de mujeres en la industria cinematográfica, también se visibilizaron otros valores y derechos como un cine más inclusivo y con cuerpos de todo tipo. Así lo expresaba en su discurso Telmo Irureta, ganador del Goya a Mejor Actor Revelación, en LaConsagración de la Primavera. Junto con estos, también se reivindicó la libertad sexual el derecho a una sanidad pública y la importancia de la salud mental.

A ceremony in which feminism and sorority where the most transmitted messages 

Last saturday the 37th edition of the Goya Awards took place at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones in Seville. The ceremony was dedicated to the great Carlos Saura, who died the day before. Despite this, the main characters of the ceremony where them, women, winning in categories dominated by men such as Best Special Effects in which Esther Ballesteros and Ana Rubio received the award for their work in Modelo 77. Another clear example was the Best Direction of Production´s Goya in which all the nominees were women. The presenters of the gala, Clara Lago and Antonio de la Torre Martín, also did not hesitate to pay tribute to the achievements of all the women who work in this sector and to demand a fair industry with a great number of films make by women. It was Antonio de la Torre himself who went through one by one mentioning some of the great directors whose films were nominated that night, such as Carla Simón for Alcarrás and Alauda Ruiz de Azúa for Cinco Lobitos. 

The President of the Spanish Film Academy, Fernando Méndez-Leite, also had time to dedicate a few words. In them he recognised a greater incorporation of women in all professions related to cinema. “Three of the five Best Film nominees are directed by colleagues who bring new insights to stories from now and forever. But they are also women directing the production, four of them are also written by women. This is just the beginning”, the President of the Academy said. 

In the end, the Best Film´s Goya went for As Bestas, directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen and which  was awarded with nine big heads. But this does not overshadow the merits and achievements of all the winning and nominated women of the gala and their great effort and dedication to the cinema. 

In addition to the demand for a greater number of women in the film industry, the ceremony also draw attention to other principles and rights such as a more inclusive cinema with bodies of all kinds. This was expressed in the speech of Telmo Irureta, winner of the Best New Actor´s Goya for La Consagración de la Primavera. Along with these, sexual freedom, the right to a public healthcare and the importance of mental health were also claimed.
