Mucho talento a “low cost” :: So much ´low cost´ talent

La industria cultural siempre ha  ido experimentando descensos económicos año tras año y claro está, en época de crisis el declive es aún mayor. Pero quienes trabajamos en este sector, deberíamos plantearnos el ¿porqué la gente no acude al cine o al teatro ?¿es por falta de cultura, falta de promoción o falta de recursos económicos?

Francamente creo que hoy en día, hay mucha variedad de espectáculos para todos los públicos, ya que no requieren un nivel cultural alto y muchas obras se asemejan a series populares de televisión, las cuáles obtienen un alto share y la mayoría de los españoles visualizan. En cuanto al “elevado precio” ,que muchos dicen que tienen éstos espectáculos, es algo falso ya que existen bastantes portales en Internet en los cuáles puedes encontrar verdaderas “joyas” desde 6 euros.

Más concretamente el fin de semana pasado decidí acudir a un espectáculo llamado “touch me cabaret”.No había escuchado hablar de él, solo lo encontré por casualidad. Sin embargo me atrajo su originalidad en cuánto al tipo de montaje, ya que nunca había visto la fusión entre cabaret y circo.

Pues bien la decisión de escribir éste artículo fue por lo maravillada que quedé en cuanto al gran talento de quienes estaban sobre el escenario y me pregunté como un espectáculo así podía ser tan barato y bueno a la vez, teniendo gente de gran talento desconocido y realizado en un teatro tan minúsculo. Animo a todo el mundo a que cambie el dinero que gasta en una copa por ver ésta obra y creo que no saldrán decepcionados.

Por ello concluyo que el dinero tampoco es una excusa para no asistir a este tipo de eventos ya que, hay precios para todos los públicos (y no por ello de peor calidad.) Por lo tanto a lo mejor el problema está en la falta de promoción de obras de teatro que sin ser superproducciones, insisto tienen calidad y gran elenco artístico. Y en ciudades como Madrid o Barcelona hay numerosas de ellas,esperando a ser descubiertas por el gran público.

The cultural industry has been experiencing an economic decline year after year, and in times of crisis, this decline is even greater.  However, those of us working in this sector should ask ourselves why people do not go to the cinema or theatre.  Is it because the lack of culture, poor marketing or because they can´t afford it?

I honestly believe that nowadays there is a huge variety of shows for everybody.  Many shows are similar to popular Spanish television series, which get a large share of spectators, and which the majority of the Spanish watch.

As for the  “high price” of the shows mentioned as a reason by many people, this is not true at all because you can find many great shows on the internet which only cost about  6 Euros each .  For example,  last weekend I decided to go to a show called “Touch me cabaret”.   I had never even heard about that show, I just found it by accident.  However, it interested me because of the mix between circus and cabaret, something that I had never seen before.

The inspiration for writing this article was how amazed I was when I saw the incredible talent of the actors on stage. I asked myself how such a great show could be so cheap and good at the same time, with unknown, very talented people, and made in a miniscule theatre.  I encourage everyone to spend the money they would otherwise spend on a drink, to see this show.  You won´t be disappointed.

In conclusion I don´t think a lack of money is an excuse for not going to these kinds  of events because there are prices to suit every budget (without sacrificing quality).  Therefore, I think the real problem is the lack of promotion for theater shows that are not blockbusters, but which are excellent and with great actors.  In cities like Madrid or Barcelona there a great number of these shows waiting to be discovered.
