NIÑOS Y JÓVENES TOMAN EL TEATRO :: CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE TAKE TO THE THEATRE

Madrid viste Marzo de interpretación con TEATRALIA.

Basta de ordenadores, de videoconsolas, de televisiones y de todos aquellos aparatos que  hagan permanecer a nuestros niños encerrados en casa. Madres y padres, vistan a sus hijos, quítenles las legañas y prepárense para comenzar la aventura. No se preocupen si no son muy osados las hay para todos los gustos. No teman si les proponemos viajar a Berlín, o embarcarse hacia una isla llena de tesoros porque, aunque puede que ésta sea una de las mejores experiencias de su vida, no se moverán de la butaca.

TEATRALIA, el Festival Internacional de Artes Escénicas para Niños y Jóvenes, llega a Madrid cargado de novedades y de ilusión por compartirlas con los más pequeños de la casa. Este año se celebra su decimosexta edición, y no es para menos, ya que a lo largo de los años se ha consolidado como uno de los festivales escénicos de referencia para la infancia y la juventud más destacados del mundo.

Con esta iniciativa se pretende fomentar la afición al teatro de los más pequeños y convertirlo en un hábito a seguir. Las artes escénicas despiertan su imaginación, abren su mente y les hacen encontrar nuevos frentes y horizontes. Además, TEATRALIA nos da la oportunidad de disfrutar de propuestas escénicas internacionales, las cuales no se representan de manera habitual en nuestros teatros.

Durante todo el mes de marzo podremos disfrutar de esta variedad de obras en las que diferentes culturas se mezclan en un solo ámbito, la interpretación. Un total de 19 compañías, especializadas en el público infantil y juvenil, darán vida a 20 espectáculos repartidos por Madrid capital y otros 31 municipios de la región. El teatro, la danza, la música y el circo serán los protagonistas de este soleado mes de marzo en Madrid.

March is interpretation month in Madrid with TEATRALIA

Put a stop to all the computers, videogames, televisions and all the gadgets that make our children shut themselves in the house. Mothers and fathers, get your children dressed, wash their sleepy eyes, and get ready to begin an adventure. Don´t worry if you are not very adventurous, there is something for everyone.. Don´t be afraid if we suggest travelling to Berlin, or boarding a ship toward an island full of treasures because, even though this could be one of the best experiences of your life, you won´t have to move from your seat.

TEATRALIA, the International Festival of Scenic Arts for Children and Young People, arrives in Madrid full of surprises and excited about sharing this with the youngest members of the household. This year is the sixteenth edition, no small feat, because over the years it has become one of the most important scenic festivals for children and young people in the world.

These initiatives try to foment the fondness for the theatre in children and convert it into a life-long habit. The scenic arts stir the imagination, open the mind, and make the children find new horizons. TEATRALIA gives us the opportunity to enjoy  international scenic shows, which are not usually seen in our theatres.

During the whole of March, we can enjoy a great variety of plays in which different cultures intermingle in a single focus, interpretation. A total of 19 companies specialized in entertaining children and young people, present 20 plays in the centre of Madrid and 31 other municipalities in the region. The theatre, dance, music and the circus will be the protagonists during this sunny march in Madrid.
