“Star Wars: Episode VII- The Force Awakens

There is nothing like giving a child the latest model of their favorite toy. Thus the most, and even less die-hard fans of the "Star Wars" saga, felt when the classic and famous sidereal fanfare, inserted in the trailer that announces a new galactic episode, has gone into their auditory pavilions.  These, even more joyful to the enigmatic voice, which, at the moment, we do not identify with any known character, get happily involve in the rumours that slighly reveal who could be this husky narrator. Perhaps the soul of the saga, the great architect of the fight against the dark side. A Luke Skywalker that absorbed by this dark force changed sides to the amazement of the audience. But they just let us read until then, (in this case hear).
Also sight has to work with regard to rejoice in this galactic universe in the barely minute and half that production managers have given as a present to such expectant and dilated pupils. The brightness of the laser sword, the curious movements of the robot of the day, the vertiginous rebel fighters and of course, when you see on screen the acrobatics of the legendary Millennium Falcon, are for the moment an enough warm-up, until in December 2015 will be revealed  as a whole what contains: "Star Wars:The Force Awakens".
Episode VII of this saga, that began 30 years ago, comes with more worthy of large salivations ingredients between their impatient fans, since its manager J.J.Abrams works in this occasion with some experienced clasics in fighting the dark side 30 years ago. It seems to be certain  that the following veterans will plow through the galaxies: Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Mark Hamill (Luke Sywalker), and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), along with John Boyega, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong´o, Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley, among others.

The Newsroom: Tercera y última temporada

‘The Newsroom’: Third and final season

The first three episodes for the Aaron Sorkin  serie’s last season announce a frenetic ending. HBO notified the cancellation of the series after the low audience achieved by the second season, but they permitted the shooting of six more episodes to deliver a ‘real end’ to the fans. The third season of ‘The Newsroom’ has reached his halfway point with the third episode broadcasted on November 23th.

Sorkin was the film director of ‘A Few Good Men’ and ‘The Social Network’ amongst other films, but he confirmed that this series was his last work for TV as a result of the audience problems. There is an irony on this because ‘The Newsroom’ tells the story of cable news workers who have forgotten the importance of the rating and they try to recover the traditional values of journalism to find the truth behind the news. Unfortunately for Sorkin the reality doesn´t outdo fiction and while ‘ACN’ doesn’t care about audience records, ‘HBO’does.
The series gives an idyllic and almost quixotic overview about journalism. It offers the optimistic idea of a better media coverage based on rigorous research as a society problems solution, always under the satiric and funny dialogues. ‘The Newsroom’ has a fiction screenplay based on real-life news. The Boston attacks and the Wikileaks issues are represented at the beginning of the last season and the murder of Bin Laden and the Fukushima catastrophe are shown in precedents episodes.

‘The Newsroom’ has also great weaknesses: It evokes a first-year course of journalism spirit that cannot exist in a real TV show, it makes impossible dialogues and the characters know everything and a little more. Despite this, ‘The Newsroom’ is a real cult series, a ‘must-see’, and we will sure miss it.
However, this is one of the most subversive Sorkin’s creation and it is a criticism against the current crisis in journalism and against the American politics, although his patriotic aura. Jeff Daniels is the main character of ‘The Newsroom’ and an Emmy Award-winning. A day after the world premiere he recognized that “just as the third season has finished I can assure you that there will be no a fourth one”.
‘The Newsroom’ is a utopia, an idealistic but necessary catharsis. As their slogan says “Every story needs a final word" and those six last episodes are this final word of a series that didn’t want to end up.

Jimmy´s Hall

 “Jimmy´s Hall”

The persistent challenge of a pound and tight establishment power, as a result of interests created, apostilled with creeds of moral stagnation and paid with the wild whip of the threat of that hell's afterlife, or for the more skeptical or nihilistic people, simply from the tangible and earthly whip that opens with relish the redemptive sore; it has been on so many occasions throughout history, the model of life of which the members of this or that community, should show until the end of their days.

Nothing like a "big brother" provided with the best weapons of deterrence, to maintain an obedient subject and maintainer patient from the boom without limits of some people to start working, when rings in excess any discordant voice against the official discourse.

The tandem formed by director Ken Loach and screenwriter Paul Laverty takes us back to an early 20th century rural Ireland. There the oppression exercised by the ecclesiastical authorities, unbearably grips the vital eagerness of some young people whose attitudes do not conform in any way to what Catholic morality dictates as the unique and authentic creed that should be followed.

"Jimmy´s Hall" is a statement against all forms of power based on the gag, in "lecture" the people with troubled, exciting power failures and slogans at the same time as illusory as the voice which proclaims them. A clerical pandemic that tries to drown at the hands of Father Sheridan (Jim Norton), in its own waters to parishioners as Jimmy (Barry Ward) challenges such revered institutions (this time not to swashbuckling), but with modern jazz records, with dances that they cause and attitudes branded of serious affronts that take place in the eyes of the local church.

The oppressive atmosphere that Loach prints in this Irish village, both geographically as in the political field, it gives rise so can be the right conditions needed for rebellion to set up in the town in the way that most liked throughout history: this is as a youth steeped in longing for that so despicable sin so-called life.
