La Comic-Con
celebró su 45ª edición esta pasada
semana en San Diego, Los Ángeles
(Estados Unidos). Lo que empezó como una reunión para los fans de los cómics se
ha convertido en uno de los eventos más populares del mundo, con millones de
asistentes que acuden (a menudo portando disfraces espectaculares) para conocer
las novedades del mundo del cine, la televisión, los videojuegos y, ya que
están, los cómics.
Como ya es costumbre
los estudios aprovecharon la ocasión para promocionar sus series y películas a
través de los distintos paneles que se celebran a lo largo de las jornadas. A
continuación vamos a hacer un repaso a la información compartieron:
Marvel celebró un gran panel en el que se
hablaron de varias de sus películas, asistieron el nuevo director de Ant-Man, Peyton Reed, se confirmó que Paul Rudd interpretará al
protagonista, Scott Lang, Michael
Douglas hará el papel
de Henry Hank Pym, dato curioso ya que estos personajes son dos encarnaciones
distintas de Ant-Man. Por su parte Corey
Stoll será el malvado Chaqueta Amarilla y Evangeline
Lily encarnará a Hope Pym.
A continuación, también en el
panel de Marvel, hicieron su aparición Los Vengadores: Robert
Downey JR, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen y James Spader, que pone voz al
villano de la segunda entrega, Ultron. Sin duda era uno de los paneles más
esperados de este año, se anunciaron algunos detalles sobre la segunda entrega
que llega en mayo de 2015, y los
afortunados asistentes pudieron ver algunos minutos de material ya grabado.
Finalmente Marvel
anunció que haría una segunda parte de Guardianes de la
galaxia en 2017, dirigida de
nuevo por James Gun,
cuya primera parte se estima ha
recaudado cerca de 40 millones de dólares el día de su estreno.
Warner
Brothers, encargada de las películas de DC
Cómics,
también celebró un panel para promocionar su película Batman vs Superman
al que asistieron Henry
Cavill,
Ben Affleck, y Gal
Gadot. Aunque los detalles de la película se mantienen
bajo secreto, se mostraron 60 segundos de metraje y la primera imagen de Gal Gadot vestida como
Wonder Woman.
Frank
Miller
y Robert Rodríguez anunciaron que
les gustaría rodar una tercera película
de Sin
City,
y esperan que la segunda entrega, que llega a los cines este verano, funcione
lo bastante bien como para justificar una secuela más.
El Hobbit: La batalla
de los cinco ejércitos lanzó cartel y tráiler
de su tercera y última entrega, creando gran conmoción entre muchos fans que no
están listos para decirle adiós a las películas basadas en la Tierra Media de Tolkien.
Los
juegos del hambre también sacaron a la luz el tráiler de Sinsajo Parte 1,
película que se estrenará este año y en el que veremos la lucha de Katniss para acabar con la tiranía del Presidente Snow.
Legendary
Pictures llegó cargada de noticias: anunció que Godzilla tendría una secuela
para satisfacer a aquellos que se quedaron con ganas de verle pelear contra más
monstruos esta primavera, una precuela
sobre los orígenes de King Kong
llamada Skull Island, y Guillermo
del Toro confirmó que le han dado el sí a la segunda parte de Pacific Rim, e
intentó generar interés en HellBoy
3, y a la adaptación de la novela En las montañas de la locura de H.P. Lovecraft.
Mad Max: Furia en la
carretera: la cuarta entrega de la trilogía
post-apocalíptica ochentera vuelve en mayo de 2015 de la mano de George
Miller,
con Charlize Theron
y Tom Hardy
como protagonistas.
Jurassic World, que también ha sido resucitada
gracias al director Colin Trevorrow y se estrenará el
próximo verano, mostró su poster
teaser en el que se puede ver a un velociraptor, uno de
los dinosaurios más vistos en las primeras entregas.
Tarantino
anunció que finalmente seguirá adelante con su película Hateful
Eight. El proyecto que cuenta con Samuel
L. Jackson,
Kurt Russell y Tim
Roth en el reparto detuvo su producción después de que
el guión se filtrase en la red.
Estas son las noticias
más destacables en cuanto a cine, pero no debemos olvidar las múltiples series
que también utilizan el comic-con para promocionarse:
Érase una vez
tuvo panel con entrevistas en el que mostraron parte del primer episodio de su
cuarta temporada, en el que conoceremos
a las versiones de carne y hueso de los personajes de Frozen.
Juego
de tronos
anunció
la incorporación de cinco nuevos actores al casting,
y para decepción de muchos, que George
RR. Martin no escribiría ningún episodio de la
nueva temporada
porque
necesita centrar toda su atención en la próxima novela de la saga, Los
vientos del invierno.

Night Shyamalan presentó su nueva serie de misterio
para FOX, Wayward Pines y permitió a unos pocos afortunados asistir a
un preestreno del episodio piloto.
Constantine, serie protagonizada por Matt
Ryan que llega este otoño a la NBC, lanzó tráiler y cartel.
Arrow
dio
a sus fans un tráiler en el que se
mezclaban escenas de la segunda temporada (ya emitida) con algunos esbozos de
la tercera, que se rueda ahora mismo en Vancouver.
Gotham, uno de los
nuevos estrenos más esperados de FOX,
que cuenta la vida del jefe del policía James
Gordon antes de que Batman
empiece a limpiar las calles de criminales, también sacó un nuevo tráiler e hizo un pequeño pase para ver el piloto antes de su
estreno en televisión.
Los
Simpsons y Padre
de familia, dos de las series de animación más
populares y gamberras de la televisión, mostraron cinco minutos del episodio crossover de una hora de
duración que se emite el próximo 28 de septiembre llamado The
Simpsons guy.

San Diego Comic-Con leaves us with a lot of new information.
San Diego Comic-Con celebrated its 45th
edition this last week in Los
Angeles (USA). What started as a meeting place for comic book fans has
become in one of the most popular events ever, with millions of people coming
from all over the world (usually in amazing cosplays) to discover new
information about films, TV shows, videogames and, seeing as they are already
there, comic books.
As usual the big
studios used the convention to promote their movies through the different
panels that take place during the con. Next we are going to talk about some of
the news that came out this year:
Marvel
Studios had a big
panel where they talked about several movies, “Ant-Man” new director, Peyton Reed was there and it was
confirmed that Paul Rudd will play the main character, Scott Land, while Michael Douglas plays Henry Hank Pym, which is interesting news considering
both characters are different incarnations of Ant-Man. It was also announced
that Corey
Stoll will play the
villain Yellow Jacket and that Evangeline Lily will be Hope Pym.
After Ant-Man “The Avengers” made their
an appearance on the pane:l Robert Downey JR,
Mark Ruffalo, Chris
Hemsworth, Cobie
Smulders, Samuel L.
Jackson, Chris Evans, Aaron
Taylor-Johnson, Paul
Bettany, Elizabeth
Olsen and James
Spader, who voices the villain Ultron. They
talked a little about the second Avengers movie that will be released during May 2015, and they showed the first few
minutes of filming to the people present at the panel.
Finally Marvel announced a “Guardians
of the Galaxy” sequel, directed once again by James Gun, whose first installment has become
an instant success, grossing an estimated 40 million
dollars at the box office in just one day.
Warner Brothers, who makes all the DC Comic movies, also had a panel to promote the “Batman v
Superman” movie where people were able to see Henry Cavill,
Ben
Affleck, and Gal Gadot, the main actors of the film. Even
thought production details are still under wraps, they showed 60 seconds of
footage and they also released the first picture of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
Frank Miller and Robert
Rodriguez announced they would like to film a third “Sin
City” movie, and they hope the second
installment, that will be released later this summer, will become a hit to help
them achieve that third movie.
“The Hobbit, the Battle of the Five Armies” released its long-awaited trailer and poster, creating a big commotion
for those fans that aren’t ready to say goodbye to the films about Tolkien’s Middle Earth.
“The Hunger Games” also showed the trailer for “Mockingjay Part 1”,
the film will
hit cinemas later this year to show us
Katniss fighting a war to end
President Snow’s tyranny.
Legendary Pictures had a lot of news to share this year: they announced a
sequel for “Godzilla” to satisfy
all those who want to see more fights between monsters, a prequel about King
Kong’s origins called “Skull Island” and
Guillermo
del Toro confirmed
the studio has approved “Pacific
Rim 2”, and campaigned
to get support for “Hellboy
3” and the adaptation
of H.P. Lovecraft’s novel “At The
Mountains of Madness”.
Mad Max, Fury Road: the fourth installment of the post-apocalyptic
trilogy from the eighties will be released in May 2015 thanks to director George Miller, with Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy in the lead roles.
“Jurassic World”
that has also came back after a long time away from the silver screen thanks to
Colin
Trevorrow will come
to theatres next summer, and to prepare fans they released a teaser poster with the familiar velociraptor from the first’s
movies.
Tarantino announced that he will continue with his film “Hateful
Eight”. The project, that includes actors like Samuel L. Jackson,
Kurt
Russell and Tim Roth,
stopped production after the script was leaked on the
internet.
Networks also use the Comic-Con to promote their
programs, here there are some of the news we got during the convention:
“Once Upon a Time” had a panel with several actors where they showed
part of season four premiere that introduces the audience to the live action
version of the characters from the movie “Frozen”.
“Game
of Thrones”
announced several casting choices for the fifth season
and GRRM’s
decision not to write his usual script for the newest season so that he can concentrate in writing the next “A
Song of Ice and Fire” installment, “The Winds of Winter”.
M. Night Shyamalan talked about his mystery series for FOX, “Wayward Pines” and made a pre-screening for some of the people who
went to the panel.
“Constantine”, TV
show with Matt Ryan as the lead character that comes this year to our TV´s
showed a new poster and a trailer.
“Arrow” showed
its fans a trailer with mixed footage from season 2 (already finished) and
season 3 that is filming in Vancouver these days.
“Gotham”, one
of FOX’s most awaited new shows of this fall, tells the story of commissioner
James Gordon and his work as a policeman years before Batman stared fighting
Gotham’s criminals, released a new trailer and allowed a few people to watch
the pilot months before it premieres on TV.
“The
Simpsons” and “Family
Guy”,
two of the most popular and irreverent shows in all TV history made public a
five minute video with footage from the one hour crossover episode that airs this 28th of September
called “The
Simpsons guy”.
