Ya era hora de que os hablase de una película de
habla hispana. En este caso La cara oculta, dirigida por el director colombiano Andrés Baiz,
está protagonizada por dos actores españoles, Clara Lago y Quim Gutiérrez,
y la colombiana Martina García.
La peli trata sobre Adrián, un director de orquesta
de la filarmónica de Bogotá que se entera de que su novia, Belén, lo ha
abandonado a través de un mensaje de vídeo. Deprimido se va a ahogar las penas
a un bar donde conoce a una guapa camarera, Fabiana, con la que estrecha
vínculos muy rápidamente. El misterio comienza cuando la policía empieza a
investigar la desaparición de Belén, que no da señales de vida desde entonces. Hasta
aquí puedo leer sin destriparos más. Si no habéis visto el tráiler no lo hagáis
ya que es un spoiler tras otro.
El argumento está muy bien planteado, y tiene un
giro argumental muy bueno, pasa de ser la típica película estereotipada a algo
totalmente diferente, por eso os recomiendo que si viendo el principio creéis
que ya no hay más, sigáis adelante, ya que efectivamente hay mucha más
sustancia de lo que en un principio podéis imaginaros.
Las actuaciones de los actores son muy correctas, en
especial Clara Lago se hace con un papel muy bien construido, y Quim Gutiérrez,
que he de confesar que si bien lo conocía nunca lo había visto actuar, me ha
sorprendido para bien.
En definitiva es bastante adictiva desde un
principio, te hace formar tus propias teorías, cosa que agradezco porque así es
más divertido, y pasas un buen rato. No diré que es una gran película, pero sí
es entretenida y memorable, más de lo que se puede decir de otras películas de
hoy en día.

Small recomendations: 'The hidden face'
It was about time that I spoke about a Spanish-language
film. In this case the The hidden face, directed by Colombian director Andrés Baiz,
it is played by two Spanish actors, Clara Lago and Quim Gutiérrez
and the Colombian Martina García.
The movie is about Adrian, a conductor of the
Philharmonic of Bogota who finds that his girlfriend, Belén has abandoned him
through a video message. Depressed, he will drown his sorrows at a bar where he
meets a beautiful waitress, Fabiana, from with it gets very close quickly. The
mystery begins when the police began to investigate the disappearance of Belén,
which shows no sign of life since then. So far I can read without telling more.
If you have not seen the trailer do not do it because it is a spoiler after
another.
The argument is very well made and has a very good
plot twist, happens to be the typical stereotype to a completely different
movie, so I recommend if you see the beginning and you think nothing will
happen you continue seeing her, as indeed there much more substance than
initially can imagine.
The performances of the actors are very correct,
especially Clara Lago is a beautifully constructed paper, and Quim Gutiérrez,
who had never seen him act but knew him, surprised me for good.
Definitely it is quite addictive in the first place,
it makes you form your own theories, which I appreciate because this is more fun,
and spend a good time. I not say it's a great movie, but it is entertaining and
memorable, with is more than can be said of other films nowadays.
