Premios Feroz 2015

El pasado martes 16 de diciembre se dieron a conocer los nominados a la segunda edición de los Premios Feroz, unos galardones que concede la crítica cinematográfica española y que son la antesala de los Premios Goya.

Este año los críticos no lo tendrán nada fácil para decidirse puesto que el nivel de las producciones españolas ha crecido considerablemente. Entre las más nominadas se encuentran La isla mínima, primera en la lista y un thriller muy potente; Magical Girl, la joya extravagante y explosiva del año; Carmina y Amén, la segunda parte dirigida por Paco León tras Carmina o revienta, comedia auténtica donde las haya, esta vez más profunda y reflexiva; Loreak, un emocionante y delicado melodrama; y 10.000 km, película tan romántica como depresiva.

Aunque Magical Girl sea la película más innovadora y sorprendente, La isla mínima también va a ser su dura competidora debido a su pulcritud y al gran trabajo de su director, el cual quizá sea hora de reconocer. No obstante, vamos a hacer nuestra propia predicción de los premios, que se celebrarán el domingo 25 de enero en el Gran Teatro Ruedo Las Ventas, en una gala conducida por Bárbara Santa Cruz:

Mejor actriz protagonista – Bárbara Lennie por Magical Girl

Mejor actor protagonista – Javier Gutiérrez por La isla mínima

Mejor actor de reparto – Karra Elejalde por Ocho apellidos vascos

Mejor guión -  Carlos Vermut por Magical Girl

Mejor música original – Roque Baños por El niño  Mejor tráiler – Magical Girl

Feroz Awards 2015

On Tuesday December 16^th the nominees for the second edition of the Feroz Awards were announced. These awards are given by the Spanish film review and they are the prelude to the Goya Awards. 

This year it will not be easy for the film critics, since the level of the Spanish productions have grown considerably. Among the nominees are “La Isla Mínima”, first on the list and a very powerful thriller; “Magical Girl”, the extravagant and explosive jewel of the year; “Carmina y Amén”, the second film directed by Paco León after “Carmina o Revienta”, a very authentic comedy, this time more profound and reflective; “Loreak”, an exciting and delicate melodrama, and “10,000 km”, a film as romantic as depressing.
 

 While “Magical Girl” is the most innovative and surprising film, “La Isla Mínima” will also be its tough competitor due to its cleanliness and the hard work of its director, whose job is perhaps time to recognize. However, we have decided to do our own prediction of the awards, which will be held on Sunday January 25^th at the Gran Teatro Ruedo Las Ventas, in a ceremony hosted by Barbara Santa Cruz:
