Una puesta a punto antes de los Oscar 2023

Conoce todos los nominados a estos premios para no perderte una en la gala del domingo 

Como probablemente sepáis, ya que lleva siendo uno de los principales temas de los que se habla en Redes Sociales y medios de comunicación, el próximo domingo 12 de marzo tiene lugar la 95ª edición de los Premios Oscar. A esta gala acuden infinidad de famosos y hay muchísimos nominados, por lo que no es nada difícil perderse entre quiénes están nominados a qué o qué películas están nominadas a cada categoría. Por ello, queremos hacer un pequeño repaso sobre las categorías más importantes, las películas nominadas, los actores, directores y productores nominados y cuál es la gran apuesta del público para estos premios. 

Como gran favorita para el galardón a Mejor Película, nos encontramos con “Todo a la vez entodas partes”. El filme de Daniel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert cuenta con once candidaturas y está siendo una de las sorpresas de la temporada de premios. Seguida por poco, tenemos “Almas en pena deInisherin” de McDonagh y “Sin Novedad en elFrente” de Edward Berger, ambas con nueve nominaciones cada una. “Elvis” de Baz Luhrmann les pisa los talones con ocho nominaciones y por último nos encontramos con “Top Gun Maverick”, nominada a seis estatuillas. Además de estas, que son las grandes favoritas, dentro de esta categoría también competirán: “Avatar: El sentidodel agua”, “TÁR”, “El triángulo de latristeza” y “Ellas hablan”. En esta categoría competirán largometrajes de gran variedad, desde un blockbuster taquillero como es “TopGun Maverick” hasta una película de cine independiente como “Ellas hablan” pasando por grandes dramas (“LosFabelman”), representantes europeas (“El triángulo de latristeza”) y una producción de Netflix (“Sin novedad en elfrente”).

Otra de las categorías más esperadas es la de Mejor Director. En esta categoría competirán: Martin McDonagh por “Almas en pena deInisherin”, Daniel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert por “Todo a la vez entodas partes”, Todd Field por “TÁR”, Steven Spielberg por “LosFabelman” y Ruben Östlund por “El triángulo de latristeza”. Cabe destacar que este año la categoría del Oscar a Mejor Director vuelve a olvidarse de las directoras. En esta ocasión, ni una sola mujer ha conseguido estar nominada a pesar de que, por ejemplo, Sarah Poley cuenta con algunas nominaciones de gran importancia por “Ellas hablan”. 

En la categoría de Mejor Actriz Protagonista encontramos a Cate Blanchett por “TÁR”, Ana de Armas por “Blonde”, Andrea Riseborough por “ToLeslie”, Michelle Yeoh por “Todo a la vez entodas partes” y Michelle Williams por “Los Fabelman”. Dentro de estas nominaciones destaca la de Ana de Armas, nominada por primera vez a estos premios a pesar de las críticas que ha recibido la película. Es una competición reñida por la estatuilla, todos los papeles son admirables. Hay quienes quieren que lo gane Ana de Armas, otros, gracias a que la campaña exprés de Andrea Riseborough ha surtido efecto dejando fuera de la categoría a la mismísima Viola Davis, la tienen como favorita. Pero no hay que olvidar que compiten contra la veterana Cate Blanchett que recibiría su tercera estatuilla y contra Michelle Yeoh quien ha sido galardonada con con SAG Award. 

Por último, otra categoría realmente esperada es la de Mejor Actor Protagonista. Este año competirán por la estatuilla: Brendan Fraser por “The Whale”, Austin Butler por “Elvis”, Colin Farrell por “Almasen pena de Inisherin”, Paul Mescal por “Aftersun” y Bill Nighy por “Living”. Los grandes favoritos de la categoría son Brendan Fraser y Austin Butler. Las encuestas respecto a los favoritos están realmente igualadas. No debemos olvidar que ambos compiten contra el ganador del Globo de Oro Colin Farrell y contra la brillante actuación de Paul Mescal. 

Todo está en el aire todavía pero las cartas ya están jugadas. El domingo, por fin, terminará la espera y podremos disfrutar de unos premios tan esperados como siempre. Así que…¡Prevenidos! 3, 2, 1, ¡ACCIÓN!

Tune-up before Oscars 2023 

Get to know all the nominees for these awards so you don’t miss anything at the gala on Sunday. 

As you probably know, since it has been one of the main topics on Social Networks and the media, the 95th edition of the Oscars will take place next Sunday, March 12. This gala is attended by countless celebrities and there are many nominees, so it’s not hard to get lost among who is nominated to what or which movies are nominated for which category. For this reason, we want to briefly review the most important categories, the nominated films, the nominated actors actresses, directors and producers and what is the public’s great bet for these awards.

As a great favourite for the Best Film award, we find “EverythingEverywhere All at Once”. The film by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert has eleven nominations and is being one of the surprises of the awards season. Closely followed by McDonagh´s “The Banshees ofInisherin” and Edward Berger´s “All Quiet on theWestern Front”, both with nine nominations each. Baz Luhrmann´s “Elvis” is hot on their heels with eight nominations and finally we find “Top Gun Maverick” nominated for sic statuettes. In addition to these, which are the great favourites, within this category will also compete: “TÁR”, “Triangle of Sadness”, “Avatar: The Way ofWater” and “WomenTalking”. A wide variety of feature films will compete in this category, from a blockbuster like “Top Gun Maverick” to an independent film like “WomenTalking” going through great dramas like “The Fabelmans”, European representatives such as “Triangle of Sadness” and a Netflix production “AllQuiet on the Western Front”. 

Another of the most anticipated categories is the Best Director one. It should be noticed that that this year the category of the Oscar for the Best Director, once again, forgets about female directors. On this occasion, not a single woman has managed to be nominated despite the fact that, for example, Sarah Poley has some very important nominations for “Women Talking”. 

In the Best Leading Actress category we find Cate Blanchett for “TÁR”, Ana de Armas for “Blonde”, Andrea Riseborough for “ToLeslie”, Michelle Yeoh for “EverythingEverywhere All at Once”and Michelle Williams for “The Fabelmans”. Among these nominations stands out Ana de Armas, nominated for these awards for the first time despite the criticism the film has received. It is a close competition for the statuette, all the roles are admirable. There are those who want Ana de Armas to win it, others, thanks to the fact that Andrea Riseborough´s express campaign has had an effect leaving Viola Davis herself out of the category, have her as favourite. But we must not forget that they are competing against the veteran Cate Blanchett who would receive her third statuette and against Michelle Yeoh who has been awarded the SAG Award.

Finally, another really expected category is the Best Leading Actor. This year they will compete for the statuette: Brendan Fraser got “TheWhale”, Austin Butler for “Elvis”, Colin Farrell for “TheBanshees of Inisherin”, Paul Mescal for “Aftersun” and Bill Nighy for “Living”. The big favourites in the category are Brendan Fraser and Austin Butler. The polls about the favourite are really even. We must not forget that both compete against the winner of the Golden Globe Colin Farrell ande against the brilliant performance of Paul Mescal.

Everything is still up in the air but the cards are already played. On Sunday, the wait will finally be end and we will be able to enjoy the long-awaited prizes. So… Forewarned! 3, 2, 1, ACTION!
