Todo a la vez en todas partes arrasa en los Premios Oscar

La producción cumple con las expectativas de gran favorita y se alza con la victoria consiguiendo siete de los once galardones a los que estaba nominada 

La 95ª edición de los Premios Oscar ha sido nada menos que una caja de sorpresas. Sin duda alguna era la edición de los regresos. Esto pudo demostrarse con Brendan Fraser y Ke Huy Quin, ambos pertenecieron al elenco de la película de 1992 “El hombre deCalifornia”, película destrozada por la crítica. Pero, 30 años después, los actores no solo se han encontrado nominados a los premios, sino que han ganado el Oscar en sus respectivas categorías: Brendan Fraser a Mejor Actor Protagonista y Ke Huy Quin a Mejor Actor de Reparto. 

Pero, como era de esperar, la gran favorita de la noche fue “Todoa la vez en todas partes” consiguiendo siete de las once nominaciones, entre las que destacan mejor dirección para Daniel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert, mejor película, mejor actriz para Michelle Yeoh, mejor montaje, guion original y actores de reparto para Ke Huy Quin y Jamie Lee Curtis. Sin duda alguna, es imprescindible destacar que Michelle Yeoh ha hecho historia en estos premios convirtiéndose en la segunda actriz no blanca que gana la estatuilla a mejor actriz protagonista después de Halle Berry. 

La segunda gran favorita de la noche, galardonada ni más ni menos que con cuatro estatuillas, fue la esperada “Sin Novedad en elFrente” de Edward Berger. El filme se ha hecho con los galardones a Mejor película internacional, categoría en la que competía con “Argentina, 1985” de Santiago Mitre, mejor banda sonora por la composición de Volker Bertelmann, Mejor fotografía y Mejor diseño de producción.

Otro ganador de la noche fue “Pinocho de Guillermodel Toro” quien consiguió el Oscar a mejor película de animación frente a “ElGato con Botas: el último deseo” y “Red”. “La Ballena” protagonizada por Brendan Fraser consiguió otra estatuilla más aparte de la de Mejor Actor Protagonista. También se alzó con la victoria en la categoría de Mejor Maquillaje y Peluquería. La gran directora Sarah Polley recibió el Oscar a Mejor Guion Adaptado por “Ellashablan”. “Avatar:El sentido del agua” se hizo con el Oscar a Mejores Efectos Visuales. “Top Gun Maverick” consiguió el galardón a Mejor Sonido y "Black Panther:Wakanda Forever" recibió la estatuilla a Mejor Diseño de Vestuario. 

Por otro lado, “TÁR”, otra de las grandes favoritas, finalizó la ceremonia con las manos vacías. Cate Blanchett no consiguió sumarse una estatuilla más y los jóvenes Ana de Armas, gran favorita por su interpretación de Marylin Monroe en “Blonde” y Austin Butler por dar vida al gran cantante en “Elvis” tampoco lograron llevarse ningún galardón. 

Una vez más la noche de los Oscar fue una noche mágica llena de mucho talento, sorpresas y grandes momentos. ¿Qué nos depararán los próximos premios?

Everything Everywhere All at Once sweeps at the Oscars 

The production lives up to the expectations of the big favourite and wins seven of the eleven awards for which it was nominated 

The 95th gala of the Oscars was nothing short of a box of surprises. It was undoubtedly the edition of comebacks. This was demonstrated by Brendan Fraser and Ke Huy Quin, both of whom were cast in the critically panned 1992 film “Encino Man". But, 30 years later, the actors have not only found themselves nominated for awards, but have won Oscars in their respective categories: Brendan Fraser for Best Actor in a Leading Role and Ke Huy Quin for Best Supporting Actor. 

But, as expected, the big favourite of the night was "Everything Everywhere All at Once", winning seven of the eleven nominations, including Best Director for Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, Best Picture, Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh, Best Editing, Original Screenplay and Supporting Actors for Ke Huy Quin and Jamie Lee Curtis. Without any doubt, it is essential to highlight that Michelle Yeoh has made history at these awards by becoming the second non-white actress to win the statuette for Best Actress in a Leading Role after Halle Berry. 

The second favourite of the evening, which won no less than four statuettes, was Edward Berger's eagerly awaited "All Quiet on the Western Front". The film won Best International Film, a category in which it was competing with Santiago Mitre's "Argentina, 1985", Best Soundtrack for Volker Bertelmann's composition, Best Cinematography and Best Production Design. 

Another winner of the night was “Guillermo del Toro´s Pinocchio" who won the Oscar for best animated film against "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish" and "Red". "The Whale" starring Brendan Fraser won another statuette in addition to Best Actor in a Leading Role. It also won in the Best Make-up and Hairstyling category. The great director Sarah Polley received the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for “Women Talking". “Avatar: The Way of Water” won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects. “Top Gun Maverick” won Best Sound and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” received the statuette for Best Costume Design.

On the other hand, “TÁR”, another big favourite, ended the ceremony empty-handed. Cate Blanchett failed to win another statuette and the young Ana de Armas, great favourite for her portrayal of Marylin Monroe in "Blonde" and Austin Butler for his portrayal of the great singer in "Elvis" also failed to win any awards. 

Once again, the Oscars night was a magical night full of talent, surprises and great moments. What will the next Oscars have in store for us?
