Juventud y Cultura en Francia

Hoy me gustaría hablaros sobre la manera en que se acerca la cultura a estudiantes y jóvenes en Francia y en concreto en ciudades como Paris o Estrasburgo.

Hablemos de Paris: simplemente con ser ciudadano de la Unión Europea (seas estudiante o no) y menor de 26 años, se tiene acceso gratuito a la gran mayoría de museos y monumentos de la ciudad,  el Louvre o Versalles incluidos. Recuerdo sólo haber pagado en la Torre Eiffel y en la subida a la torre de Notre Dame.

Y creo que está bien pensado. Con lo cara que ya de por si es la ciudad, no todos los jóvenes pueden pagar por entrar en estos sitios. Se conforman simplemente con hacerse la típica foto para “Facebook” con la pirámide del Louvre y continuar con la visita. Está claro que no son el mayor foco de clientes potenciales, la mayor parte de la caja la hacen familias o parejas de vacaciones y jubilados, pero ofreciendo gratuitamente la entrada a jóvenes se consiguen varios objetivos a la vez:

-         Mayor publicidad de la ciudad y de sus monumentos.

-         Propiciar una apariencia de lugar muy visitado.

-         Atraer a esta franja de la población a la cultura francesa.
 

Estrasburgo es parecido si no es mejor: con la “Carte d’Etudiante” y la “Carte Culture”, ambas gratuitas aunque en este caso si hay que ser estudiante, aparte de tener acceso a todos los museos de la ciudad sin coste alguno, se pueden comprar tickets para el teatro, ópera, cine o la filarmónica de Estrasburgo (reconocida a nivel mundial, con entradas a alrededor de 200€) por ¡¡5 euros!!!

Me parece algo genial el compromiso con la gente joven que tienen aquí, aparte del ahorro económico, hace que la gente hable maravillas de la ciudad. A mi esta ciudad me encanta en general. Si no lloviera tanto, sería perfecta. 

Estrasburgo como Paris son impresionantes, así que, ¡vamos! ¡¡No dejéis de visitarlas!!

Youth and Culture in France

This time I'd like to speak about the way of bringing students and young people closer to culture in France and in cities like Paris and Strasbourg in particular.

Let's talk about Paris: only being a citizen of the European Union (doesn’t matter if you are or not student) and less than 26 years, you will have free access to the majority of the museums and monuments in the city, the Louvre and Versailles included. I remember paying only at the Eiffel Tower and the ascent to the Tower of Notre Dame.

And I think it is well thought. As the city is already expensive in itself, not all the youngers can pay to visit these sites. They would only take the photo for "Facebook" with the pyramid of the Louvre and would continue with the visit. It is clear that they are not the major focus of potential customers, most of the cash is made by families or couples on holiday and retirees, but offering free entrance to young people, you get several objectives at the same time:

- Higher promotion of the city and monuments.

- .The onset of a place largely visited

-Approach the French Culture to this population range.

Strasbourg is similar if not better: with the "Carte d 'étudiante" and the "Carte Culture", which both free but in this case you have to be an student. Apart from having access all the museums of the city free of charge, you can buy tickets for the theatre, opera, cinema or the Strasbourg Philharmonic (recognized around the world, with tickets around €200) for 5 euros!

I think its great the commitment with young people that they have here, apart from the cost savings, it makes people speak wonders of the city. I love Strasbourg at all. If it were not rain, it would be perfect.

Both are fantastic cities so, come on!, Do not miss visiting them!!!!
