Papeles póstumos de la historia del cine

Hace escasos días se estrenó Brick Mansions (2014) la última película que rodó completa el actor Paul Walker (1973-2013) y con motivo de esto quiero recordar otros papeles de actores que fallecieron antes del estreno de sus películas. Brick Mansions (La Fortaleza) se ambienta en un Detroit distópico, las antiguas mansiones de ladrillo dan ahora cobijo a los delincuentes más peligrosos de la ciudad. En un intento desesperado por proteger a la población, la policía construye, en torno a esos edificios, un muro de contención, y aquí dejo la breve sinopsis, si quieres descubrir qué ocurre continúa en Cartelera. 

Tras la trágica muerte de Paul Walker, los hermanos de éste están colaborando en la película Fast and The Furious 7 para suplirle en las escenas que faltaban por rodar tras su inesperada muerte. 

Otro caso fue la muerte de James Gandolfini (1961-2013), la comedia romántica Sobran las palabras (2013) a cuya interpretación recibió varios premios y nominaciones póstumos. Actor querido y conocido gracias a su papel de Tony Soprano en la televisión. Otra de sus películas póstumas es la adaptación de Dennis Lehane llamada Animal Rescue (2014). 

Heath Ledger (1979-2008) ganó a título póstumo el Oscar al Mejor Actor de Reparto por su papel de Jóker en la película El Caballero Oscuro (2008). Una sobredosis de antidepresivos se llevó al actor en pleno rodaje de El Imaginario del Dr. Parnassus (2009), este largometraje se pudo terminar gracias a la colaboración de otros actores consolidados en el mundo del cine como Jude Law, Johnny Depp y Colin Farrell. 

Brandon Lee (1965-1993), el hijo de Bruce Lee murió realizando la película El Cuervo (1994), fue víctima de un accidente tan letal como estúpido. Durante el rodaje alguien coló una pistola de verdad y una bala acabó con su vida. Para terminar el filme utilizaron dobles y recreaciones digitales. 

Norma Jeane Mortenson, mejor conocida en el mundo artístico por su seudónimo Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962),  fue una de las actrices más populares del siglo XX falleció en pleno rodaje de Something's Got to Give (1962) debido a una sobredosis. 
 

Y otro de los actores en estas circunstancias fue James Dean (1931-1955), tras su accidente tenía pendientes de estreno Rebelde sin causa (1955) y Gigante (1956), por esta última cinta fue nominado al Oscar al Mejor Actor. 
 

Existen una infinidad de actores en estas circunstancias, se me ocurren nombres como Clark Gable (1901-1960), Spencer Tracy (1900-1967), Bruce Lee (1940-1973), Natalie Wood (1938-1981) y River Phoenix (1970-1993) entre otros.

Posthumous Roles of the History of Cinema

 

Brick Mansions (2014), the last  film who shot the actor Paul Walker (1973-2013), premiered a few days ago. And because of this I’d like to remember other roles of actors who died before their films premiered. Brick Mansions is set in a dystopian Detroit, the old brick mansions now give shelter to the most dangerous criminals in the city. After his tragic death, Paul Walker's brothers are collaborating in the film Fast and The Furious 7 to replace him in the scenes missing after his unexpected death. 
 

Another case was the death of James Gandolfini (1961-2013), who acted in the romantic comedy Enough Said (2013) and who received several posthumous awards and nominations. He was loved and known for his role of Tony Soprano on television. Another of his posthumous films is an adaptation of Dennis Lehane called Animal Rescue (2014).
 

Heath Ledger  (1979-2008) won a posthumous Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Joker in the movie The Dark Knight (2008). An overdose of antidepressants put an end to his life in the set of The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus (2009), This film could be finished thanks to the cooperation of other established actors such as Jude Law, Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell.  
 

Brandon Lee (1965-1993), son of Bruce Lee died making the movie The Crow(1994). He was the victim of an accident as lethal as stupid. During filming, someone snuck a real gun and a bullet put an end to his life. To finish the film, they used doubles and digital recreations.
